I have read up on this - it seem the answer to your "question" hasn't been fully answered. Agreed the HPV (virus) will always be near but the warts may never reappear again.
There are Rx's - creams etc that can make them budge away, and certainly they can be "burned" off, or surgically removed.
They may reappear - they may not.
